Elementary Clicker Training Class
This is a 6 week class in basic dog training which is held in a safe, indoor location. We will use "Clicker Training" which is a very gentle approach to shaping your dog's behavior through positive reinforcement. Using the positive and fun technique, you will learn how to teach your dog basic behaviors (such as sit, down, stay, walk on a leash and come). We will cover good manners cues (such as wait and leave-it) and some fun tricks (shake and spin). In addition we will discus problem-solving techniques (how to deal with jumping, barking, chewing, digging, handling and socialization).
Class Dates: |
First class is 1 1/2-hour people-only orientation. |
Class Cost: |
$125 for six classes - receive a $10 discount for dogs adopted from Woods Humane Society, Santa Maria Valley Humane Society or Animal Services. |

All classes are held at Gentle Touch Pet Training's new training center located at 1886 Deer Canyon Road, Arroyo Grande, CA. Click here for directions. |
Vaccines : |
Dogs must be current on parvo, distemper and rabies shots. |
Registration: |
Class size is limited to 12 dogs to ensure personal attention. Full payment is necessary to reserve class space. |
