Saturday March 31, 2012
(REGISTRATION FULL)
WHAT IS AN ORT? K9 Nose work Trial entries through the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW) require that handler/dog teams must have passed the appropriate Odor Recognition Test (ORT) in advance of the trial. The purpose of the ORT is to verify that the dogs know the target odor (scent) used in competition. You can find more information about the ORT at the National Association of Canine Scent Work www.nacsw.net.
REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN AN ORT: All ORT handlers must be current NACSW members and have a NACSW Score Book for their dog. Membership and dog registration must be completed at least 6 weeks prior to the ORT to ensure that the scorebook will be received in time for the event. Please register with NACSW at www.nacsw.net.

(Click HERE for map and directions)
REGISTRATION: The ORT is full.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring dog crates/pens and any other comfort requirements (bedding, water bowls, etc.) so that your dog can be comfortable. The fields and the parking area do not have a lot of shade so plan to bring shade and/or crate fans for your dog(s). You may want your favorite seminar chair instead of our plastic ones for waiting outdoors. Weather here is variable as it could be cool or warm. Watch the weather report and dress in layers.
DOG POLICIES: Clean up after your dog is expected. Please manage your dog carefully while waiting. Because dogs will work one at a time a “dog reactive” dog can attend, but will need to be carefully managed during the event.
