Kay' Dogs

Kay Laurence

We are very lucky to have Kay travel from the UK to spend time with us again next year! Kay’s knowledge of clicker training and dogs, combined with an ability to communicate well with people, makes coming to one of her seminars an incredibly valuable learning experience for any dog handler or dog trainer.

Kay pursues her exploration into canine behavior and learning concepts at Wag More Barn, home of Learning About Dogs. A regular presenter at the Karen Pryor ClickerExpo, Kay's insights and techniques will take the connection with your dog to a whole new level.

Please note - this is an intermediate-advanced level seminar for advanced trainers and handlers only. We will not be covering training fundamentals. If you have questions, please contact Teah at teah@gentlepets.com.

There are some excellent professional trainers working in their own field with great skills. Some of these skills are generic – great timing, planning, observation, and many are mechanical. But the true masters of clicker training have the extra ability to also train for attitude and joy. This comes from within the trainer and is much more than a “mechanical skill” that can be replicated. It is the ability to pace your training to suit the learner, what stage of learning they are at, the difficulty of what they are trying to learn, and maintain their joy in the learning process. It is about having no ultimate agenda for your ego and no restrictions on investment of time, energy or resources. The master trainers build learners, not just train behaviors.

This is a unique opportunity to spend the day with Kay Laurence in a small group setting. The seminar is intended for advanced trainers and instructors.
